Chateau Benque is a beautifully restored traditional French chateau just an hour's drive from Toulouse Airport (TLS). Set against a stunning backdrop of oh-so-pretty rolling French countryside and even the Pyrenees mountains when the sky is clear, it offers the perfect setting for this seven day retreat. Sleeping a lovely, intimate group of just 14 guests, each of the unique rooms provides you the perfect calm space to rest and relax.
With juicy flows to start your day, followed by their epic, slow, and delicious gourmet brunch, you can then swim in the jaw-dropping outdoor pool with panoramic views of the Pyrenees, or perhaps take a long country walk.
Maybe sit in a hammock with a book or get your tan on lounging in the sun. You will have open fires in the evenings, guided meditations, stargazing, game-playing, and inspiring workshops. Guests can also take part in a one-hour workshop focused on cleansing, which will discuss the what's and why's of what 'doing a cleanse' actually means. Looking at how the body works, healing and cleansing foods, naturopathic techniques for cleansing, when to cleanse, and when not to cleanse. The time of equinox provides the best time to cleanse and detoxify, meaning you can enjoy clearer skin, better digestion, improved moods, weight loss, and greater energy levels.
East London yoga teacher, Annie Clarke, will lead a beautiful, energizing, and detoxifying flow practice in the morning and a restful, restorative Yin practice in the evening. Annie’s approach is playful and lighthearted, whilst giving you the opportunity to connect to yourself in a calm and grounding space.
Lucy will be hosting a two-hour workshop during the week, where she will share her extensive knowledge of natural, healing foods. Drawing from naturopathic principles, the workshop will discuss what well-being eating is and how you can feel amazing through food. With a focus on giving you the low down on raw foodism and how to integrate the healing benefits of raw food into your diet.
You will look at some simple ways to upgrade the way you eat for better health, showing you how to create delicious, energizing food and snacks, meaning you can leave the retreat feeling enlightened and enthused about a new, fun, and delicious approach to mealtimes.
Lucy has worked with numerous individuals and with clients such as Selfridges and the Soho House Group among various other wonderful eating establishments. She offers unique recipes and teachings on how to make delicious food feel even better in the body than it tastes. Lucy Hill and her team, also known as Chaya Kitchen, can cater for all events, tastes, and dietary requirements for individual and private dining and from small groups through to massive parties.
Annie Clarke came to yoga on her quest to find a healthier and happier lifestyle. In 2015, she spent the last of her savings on a trip to India to complete her 200-hour training in yoga with the anticipation of leaving her with two options: to come home and get a 'real job' or maybe to become a yoga teacher. From the first day of training, Annie knew which one was right. Since then, she has gone on to complete further trainings in various aspects of yoga, taught internationally, and grown a following of students back home in East London too.

Daily brunch and dinner with afternoon tea are included in the price. Using the bountiful abundance of local fruit and vegetables, Chaya Kitchen, also known as Chaya founder, well-being food coach and teacher Lucy Hill and plant-based chef Laura Paine, will prepare delicious, organic 50% raw, plant-based meals.
The food will refer to the pillars of a therapeutic diet to best support you during the retreat, with the natural detoxifying element of the autumn equinox in mind. Full of tasty super foods designed to cleanse and lighten you mentally and physically, whilst energizing, and brightening you from the inside out.
Homemade nut and seed milk, organic juices, superfood smoothies, and raw chocolate are a standard on all Chaya retreats. Being super foodies at heart, they ensure there's absolutely never any compromise on any aspect of the eating experience. They look forward to surprising and delighting you in just how good truly healthy food can taste and feel.
Guests can sit by the pool, wander the secluded beautiful gardens, hang out under a tree with a good book, or take a healing massage. Or maybe just snooze in the beautiful chateau suites. For those that want a little extra activity, you can make use of the tennis court or take a run through the local villages, and come back to a glowing fire, a hot bath, and a cup of hot cocoa.
Please book your flight to arrive at Toulouse Airport (TLS). Airport transfers can be arranged at around 25 EUR per person each way when sharing with two other guests. Alternatively, Chaya Yoga Retreats would encourage you to car share or hire a car with other guests as it's an easy and pleasant one hour drive.
