Agni Hotra is an ancient fire ceremony originating from the sacred Vedic Hindu texts. Centuries past, the tradition of Agni Hotra in Bali was embraced and fused with animistic rituals, however, following a great fire, it fell out of practice nearly 350 years ago.
Today, there is a revival of the practice of Agni Hotra for its powerful healing effects not only in Bali but also worldwide. Agni refers to fire and Hotra means healing. This healing fire ceremony is considered one of the highest Vedic rituals. Specially trained priests make offerings of ghee and grains into the fire while reciting Sanskrit mantras to invoke blessings of health and abundance.
Participants are also invited to join the priests at specified times with offerings of rice into the fire, as symbol of divine light. The ritual is for energizing and purifying the environment, healing both the participants and those living in the area. There are many anecdotal stories of healing in relation to the Agni Hotra and even evidence of benefits to agricultural areas where Agni Hotra is performed.
Please note that the itinerary is subject to change, to suit guests' needs after discussing their health profile and wellness goals during the consultation with the wellness liaison.

During this retreat, you will be served daily healing cuisine, low-glycemic meals and/or juicing. Living foods provide life force. Fundamental to personal health and a healthy planet, they support natural healing through cleansing to help you reach your highest potential. By integrating raw living foods into your daily lives, you can look forward to wellness, greater energy and mental clarity, and a positive outlook on life and spiritual awakening.
Living or raw foods are highly rejuvenating. Plant-based foods in their original, unheated (uncooked) state are considered raw and alive. They include fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, seaweed, and fresh juices.
When prepared uncooked or in a special dehydrating food dryer at less than 48 degree Celsius or 118 degree Fahrenheit, they retain the vital life force nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, oxygen) and living enzymes required to digest food, repair cellular damage, and create billions of healthy new cells every day.
Raw foods in Bali provide the maximum amount of energy with minimal bodily effort, and have been proven to help heal degenerative conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. These nutrient-rich foods are also effective in treating allergies, digestive disorders, weak immune systems, high cholesterol, obesity, and weight problems, as well as various mental, emotional, and skin disorders.
You are invited to experience natures finest healing cuisine at Fivelements Sakti dining room, prepared by an expert team of devoted chefs. The philosophy behind the Sakti dining room is to provide the most rejuvenating foods possible.
Far more than simply fuel, vegan and raw living foods actively support each guests healing journey to greater wellness, by raising energy levels and mental clarity, encouraging a positive and enlightened outlook, and giving every opportunity for each person to reach their highest potential.
The Fivelements beauty sanctuary leads the way back to nature by capturing the healing powers of plants and preserving village remedies. All-natural and superfood ingredients are combined with a comprehensive range of authentic beauty rituals, fresh organic bathing and skin care, and the deeply relaxing touch of healing massages from dedicated therapists.
The formula for the pure, plant-sourced products was inspired by traditional Balinese recipes and perfected with innovative methods for deeply nourishing, long-lasting beauty. Fresh ingredients capture the life force of petals, leaves, bark, roots, seeds, nuts, and fruits of indigenous, naturally cultivated plants that are grown and gathered by hand from Balinese gardens.
Nearly every treatment is freshly prepared from raw ingredients to provide a nutrient-rich living food for your skin. Cucumbers are sliced to create hydrating facial masks, Balinese salt crystals are blended with virgin coconut oil for body scrubs, sweetcorn is grated, aloe vera is squeezed, and kaffir lime is pressed for the revitalizing bath rituals, while raw chocolate is warmed for the deeply nourishing body mask.
The only exception is the flower facial tonic, which is rested overnight to activate the potency of the champaka, ylang-ylang, and frangipani blossoms. Revive your radiance with the force of nature within the spiritually-restful environment of the Fivelements' beauty sanctuary.
