You will stay in private and semi-private accommodation.

The first session begins at 17:00, and the retreat ends after your lunch. I Feel Calm Retreats will share the simplicity of mindfulness to shift your life through body sensing yoga and mindful movement therapy, mindful mood, mindful language, mindful food, mindful body, and mindfulness in nature. Learn tools to keep you well and live with purpose and meaning while space is held for you to gain insight and reflect.

You will also experience mindful eating, mindful yoga, workshops to gain insight and discuss, cleansing energizing and alkalizing foods, food demonstrations, being in healing natural surrounds, and the opportunity to do individual sessions with wellness coaches and therapists. While feasting on clean alkalizing foods, you will have the opportunity to learn how to practice mindful movement to release pain and tension, get into a calm state instantly when stressed, uncover your purpose and meaning, and embody gratitude and what gratitude means to you.

During this retreat, you will have chances to experience the whale watching as well as walk around the nature reserve to explore the beautiful fynbos.

  • Nicholas McLean

    Nicholas is a mindful food and wellness coach who helps people to eat well, move well, and feel well. He facilitates wellness through yoga therapy, bodysensing, integrative massage, somatic coaching, and nutritional healing programs.

  • Yasmin Lambat

    Yasmin is a mindfulness coach and somatic movement therapist with a fascination for the body and mind connection. It led to her creating a simple movement therapy called bodysensing. Easier than yoga or Pilates, bodysensing influences the nervous system through movement to reduce stress, relieve pain, and restore well-being.

The retreat will take place in Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa.

During the retreat, you will be served vegan wholefoods, alkalizing, anti-inflammatory foods, juices, and smoothies.

    "I was diagnosed with Sjorgen’s syndrome in March 2014, an autoimmune condition that reduces saliva and fluid production in the body. It left me with a dry mouth, swollen glands, dry skin, heartburn and a body that ached all over, like the flu. I was told that it is incurable and only manageable with medication. I was not happy with the prognosis and decided to find an alternative. I heard about Yasmin and Nic and how they help people with autoimmune conditions like Arthritis and Fybromyaliga. I started off with a 14 day programme and noticed a change in my symptoms in a few days. I went on an Alkalizing diet and mindfulness practice to help my body heal. After 14 days, the ache had subsided and my symptoms had improved significantly. I have continued with the programme and see them once a week. I know I can’t be cured but I believe this is the best way to manage it without medication and expensive supplements"

    "I attended Nic and Yasmin’s 3 day retreat at the Buddhist retreat centre in KZN. Although the centre has a structure it’s flexible enough to have some “me” and although the food is vegetarian it is delicious and does not eliminate dairy, sugar or wheat, so I could still have their home baked bread. I have a very stressful job and needed something a little more than a weekend away to de-stress. The activities included mindfulness yoga, meditation and educational talks, all hosted by Nic and Yasmin. Yasmin’s Mindfulness sessions were like nothing I had attended before. I have been attending regular meditation classes but these sessions were really simple and got me into a centered state quickly. I didn’t think I would but I attended all the activities and left feeling better. "

Fibrous Dysplasia is a bone condition I was born with; which restricted movement in my legs and spine. Yasmin ’s expertise was able to diagnose my condition devise a programme comprising breathing, muscle release and strengthening exercises to develop core strength, improve my posture and induce a general sense of wellbeing.
