"Fantastic experience! "

I was received with a smile, with a lot of kindness. I like that Raj and a Mohan respect the tradition and gave me a lot of their knowledge. Its a place of quiet near by the confusion of katmandu thamel.

The food was great and everyone in the center were very gentle.

In the practice there is a lot of meditation.

I hope to return soon!

It was a very good experience. The food was very delicous. It was healthy and organic and fresh cooked. I loved it! The place is peaceful and relaxing. It' s familiar and the people were friendly and helpful. I felt like home. My room was great with hot water and much space. The therapy was a good additional thing. I enjoyed this time very much.

"Start of a spiritual journey"

For me the most important was to have found a place to do my yoga teacher training where the spiritual aspect was highlighted. In this month I have build a firm foundation from where to continue my spiritual journey. I will forever be grateful to this experience and the wonderful people that have been part of it! The entire team at HIYA is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. From the very first day I felt at home :) And of course, I need to mention the GREAT food! I can definitely recommend this place in every sense :) (unless you want to practice yoga as a form of athletics. In that case this is maybe not the best place to go)

I liked the accomodation in the cottage tent, very clean and they provide us warm pillow for the night. The food was good but very specific portion for each person. The full body massage was really good. The center is clean and they have lockers to keep your poket. I liked the jala neti practice and tratak.

"Amazing experience in Nepal!"

Everything about this retreat was amazing, the yoga, the general atmosphere, the friendliness of the people, especially Harry who was always around to help out, I can't speak more highly of this retreat. I will be returning when I am able to return to Nepal, and would like to stay for a little longer next time.

How can we describe one month in only a few words..! It was more than amazing, I am still feeling the energy and good vibes that everyone spreads there. That was definitely more than an incredible expérience, this is now the beginning and Dr Subodh and Raj are master to support you in that direction. The direction of a new way of living, a yogic way of life. Your life. And thank you To everyone, for your friendship, knowledges, trust and love. Namaste ! And see you soon.

"Yoga, Retreat and Food good, but bad Hotel"

Food (amazing), Retreat (Massage, Steam bath), Yoga classes 2 times (but they DONT correct you in your asanas, only show how. And also it's not explained how the asanas work and what the mantras mean. Have to ask always afterwards if interested)

Tour around Nepal with privat driver and yoga teacher (but I expected a group, and at the end I was the only one and a bit lonely)

Heel leuk om de neus cleaning te ervaren, de wijsheid mee te krijgen, heerlijke welnessbehandelingen te krijgen en de achterliggende gedachtes van Yoga mee te krijgen.

"Great experience"

Dr Subodh is a very knowledgeable teacher with a big dedication to yoga. The theorie in classes is very comprehensive and indepth. The other staff at the retreat works very well together as a team and all of them very helpfull and friendly. I also brought my partner and they accomodated a 200 hr ayurveda massage therapy course for him, which we definitely recommend.

After a trek around the Annapurna region and few days in heavily polluted Thamel, I was ready for a change of scenerary. I wasn't sure what to do with my last three days in Kathmandu that is when I found the HIYA brochure.Arriving at the HIYA ground was like stepping into an Oasis in the middle of desolate desert. Further the brochure was not lying when it said they treat you like GOD in field the great service is one of the unique highlights. The magnificent garden well maintained, the food is temtic and the cook extremely accommodating and friendly. The bed and bathrooms were very clean and fresh which was welcome surprise after trekking.I wish HIYA and all its partners all the best and hope more westerners discover the benefits of eastern philosophy / medicines through HIYA and Dr. Subodh.

The detox and yoga retreat has been excellent. The accommodation I upgraded for most of my stay to a bungalow room in which I have been very comfortable. Great internet access which was unexpected. I have found all the staff generous and friendly. The therapy is relaxing and varied: massages, reflexology, and steam bath. The yoga has been a wonderful balance of stretches, breathing, postures and meditation. The position slightly out of town has beautiful views particularly if you make the short climb further up the hill behind the Yoga Academy. The grounds are green and it is very easy to just relax and enjoy your visit resting in the garden.

I visited HIYA twice, in the course of June and July 2016, each time as a 2-day yoga retreat (overnight stay), with accommodation within the Kailash bungalow. Located slightly away from the buzz of Kathmandu center, HIYA provides a truly beautiful & relaxing atmosphere inviting you to just ... pause for a moment. The place is not easy to find and not necessarily well known from locals (in spite of being around for quite some years now). So best is to announce your visit slightly in advance and get picked up by a cab driver who knows the place well. HIYA works closely with a specific taxi driver, reliable and knowing how to get there easily. This will save you some hassle.

My day started around 06:15 am with introduction to nasal cleansing using a neti pot & slightly salty water. I was then given the opportunity to practice some asanas and to reflect on what yoga genuinely means. If your intent is to become a "pretzel stretching practitioner" strictly, then this might not be the right place, as there is a big part dedicated to understanding yoga in a more holistic & spiritual manner, including pranayama and yoga philosophy. Food is simple, yet tasty, healthy, hygienic.

One of the best parts of the retreat package lies within the therapy offer - I strongly recommend experiencing a massage by Bipana. Her firm & highly experienced hands will work absolute magic on your muscles & joints. She is truly highly qualified. All the staff and Dr. Subodh are kind, helpful and welcoming. Dr. Subodh is highly knowledgeable about yoga, its philosophy & spirituality. His teaching is always accompanied with a good sense of humor & luminous smiles. All the facilities are extremely clean and in good maintenance. The garden is magnificent.

It would be nice if they had spread the message; Himalayas of Nepal- the source of river Ganges and the origin place of Vedic Sanatan Dharma (the root of all the religion, Astrology, Ayurveda, Fengsui, Tantra, Yoga and Meditation). It would be a matter of pride for yoga lovers to be in the pious land of Guru Gorakshanath (the father of Tantra and Yoga) and to practice yoga and meditation from where it was started.
