This retreat will take place in the Hypnok Retreat Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The center is located between the Bang Na-Trat and Udom Suk roads. It is a three-story house that has a mix of Thai and Colonial styles. There's the Skytrain, malls, local market, and activities around. The house has a nice view of the neighborhood and enjoyable wind on the terrace, which makes the weather nicer. The house is big enough so you won’t feel like you are walking on other people.
There is a garden with dogs and chickens to enjoy and interact with. There are people in the street and kids are playing nearby. The area feels like a small community inside a giant city. It could be a bit noisy because of the highway not far off and dogs barking in the neighborhood. Overall though, it is a very nice place to enjoy, relax, and practice yoga.
Daily breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and detoxifying morning drinks are included in the price of this retreat. The Hypnok Retreat Center serves healthy food as much as they can. No soda, sugary drink, or processed food will be served. Even if the center is careful with their products, 100% GMO-free food cannot be guaranteed. Detoxifying and energizing drinks will be served at 6 a.m. during sunrise.
Breakfast will be served around 8 a.m. after the morning yoga activity. The meals will be based on fruits and infusions. Eggs and bread can be served if requested. For lunch, either in the center or outside, vegetarian meals will be served. From fried rice to vegetable to salad, the choices are pretty numerous. For snacks, some infusions and dessert or biscuits will be served at 5 p.m., and will be the last meal of the day for a light and fresh night.
There's a number of activities that you can do during your free time. You can visit local temples and meditate with monks. Hypnok Retreat Center can also help you arrange a series of activities and excursions at an additional cost. You can schedule a day or two to tour Bangkok and enjoy some shopping time. You can try a fun trampoline experience as well. If you feel like staying home though, you can also partake in chores at the retreat center, which is definitely totally up to you.
Please book your flight to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Transfer from this airport is available upon request and will cost about 600 THB (15 USD).
Exit the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS Skytrain) at the Udom Suk station, then take a motorcycle taxi until Udom Suk Soi 24.
The retreat center is also easily accessible via taxi. It will take you 30 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) on a normal traffic jam, and the fare should be about 250 THB (8 USD). Please provide this phone number to the taxi driver in case he gets lost: +668 39949906.
