KMEC is an off-the-grid retreat center that can accommodate up to 30 guests on an idyllic 10 acre property. It is situated on ten acres featuring organic fruit orchards with a beautiful Balinese meditation pavilion for prayer and healing as well as the yoga pavilion that can accommodate up to 20 yoga practitioners or a seated audience of 100.

KMEC offers a wide range of accommodations depending on your level of comfort and privacy; from a private cabin with its own kitchen and bath, to a simple single bed private cabin including a variety of options in between. All bathrooms have flush toilets and the showers have hot water. Accommodations are simple and comfortable, with no televisions or phones.

Yoga Hale

KMECs largest event space, it has a floor space size of about 20-feet by 40-feet and has about 1000-square feet of floor space. It can accommodate over 100 people sitting or standing or about 20 people stretched out and lying down (i.e. on yoga mats). The Yoga Hale includes its own kitchen and full bathrooms.

Meditation Hale

KMECs Balinese meditation pavilion opens 24 hours a day for prayer, small group meetings, yoga, or solitude. Custom made in Bali, it is a very holy and special place for prayer and reflection. It can accommodate 30-40 people sitting on cushions. It is equipped with a TV, DVD-player, Wi-Fi, light, cushions, and own independent solar power system.

In order to accommodate you during your workshop, KMEC has available a large variety of items for your use and some at no additional cost. You will receive a list of these items eight weeks prior to your arrival. Items can include:

  • Back jacks (floor-level seating with back support)
  • Flip chart with stand
  • Folding chairs and tables
  • Free, fast Wi-Fi internet service around much of the center
  • IPad dock with speakers (CD player on request)
  • Laptop / mp3 player hookups

All KMECs cabins can be occupied by one person or two persons (except from Milo 1, and Papaya1, each of single occupancy, and Rollinia which can take up to four persons along with Mango which can sleep four comfortably).

Queen bed, one or two persons, usually for couples. It's very private (romantic) and has its own toilet and outdoor shower. You can find solace in this cozy screen cabin nestled in the Puna jungle, with a partial great ocean view, light trade winds, a lanai (deck), and hot shower. Its near the meditation pavilion. The fully equipped shared kitchen is about 800 feet away.

Single bed, one person. Its very close to the Dragonfly. KMEC never rents it out if the Dragonfly is occupied except if its a party of three.

Ocean Vista Cabin

Queen bed, two persons. One of KMEC most popular. It has a great expansive view of the ocean with deck and private shower with toilet. This newly built screen-cabin is tucked into a pleasant opening in the jungle, overlooking a 500 acre ranch, giving a panoramic view of the coastline. You can enjoy amazing pink and red sunrises over a wide swath of ocean to the east, while basking in the gentle trade-wind breezes coming through the trees. As open and airy as you can get, featuring a spacious lanai (deck) and its own treehouse-like bathroom lanai about 30 feet (10 meters) away. A hot shower and vanity sink - all semi-enclosed, but still private, up in the branches of primitive looking Lauhala trees. The shared kitchen / social area is an easy 100 feet stroll along our level driveway.
