Thank you to everyone in Moa Alm for such an amazing holiday. Fantastic food, kind, friendly and welcoming staff, great activities and a stunning location made a perfect combination for a relaxing active holiday. Already planning my next visit.

What a great week we spent at MoaAlm over New Year. The first thing that you should know is that all the others reviews are 100% correct. This place deserves its 5 stars - it is a beautiful place with fantastic people and wonderful food. Barbara, Hubert, Xania, Craig and the whole MoaAlm team really go out of their way to ensure you have the best time. Attentive but never overbearing. My daughter (11) and my wife had never skied before and so greatly benefitted from Barbara's 1-2-1 ski tuition. So we skied, hot-tub'd did Yoga each morning, went hiking, snowshoeing, etc, etc. The food is really excellent (thank you Dodijn!) with plenty of vegetarian options and the beer is great too (thanks Lukas!). Our daughter fell in love with beautiful Nelson and Zora, the two dogs.
We flew into Innsbruck, picked up a hire car and set the sat nav for Kals am Grossglockner. It took us 2.5 hours going and 3 hours coming back (lots of snow so lower speed).
We're already planning our next stay!

We have now visited in both winter and summer and can highly recommend for either season.
We were guided on excellent walks and snow shoeing expeditions, given tuition in cross country skiing (shame the snow didn't last so we could have tried it some more), and explored the mountains and nature under the guidance of the excellent team at MoaAlm. Barbara gave us some great and varied yoga classes, a great benefit either before or after our daily activities.
The food, which is predominantly vegetarian, was excellent and plentiful all week, including some divine afternoon cakes.
The rooms, are large, comfortable, well equipped and just the right temperature, in both winter and summer.
For our summer trip the hot tub wasn't in place but it was for our winter visit and what a plus that is. There cannot be many, if any better hot tub views in the Alps, sitting in 40 degrees water overlooking nothing but snow covered mountains (even in a windy snowing evening) was extra special.
We highly recommend MoaAlm in its wonderfully serene and scenic setting for a very relaxingly active weeks holiday. Everything is thought of and all equipment provided was excellent. The time taken to get to this remote outpost of tranquillity is well worth the effort!!

Moaalm was exactly what I was looking for to unwind after a stressful few months. Xania and Craig are brilliant hosts and they have found a fantastic team of people to run the place and to make everyone feel at home. There is beautiful scenery on the doorstep and a range of outdoor activities on offer as well as great skiing for intermediates like me. There is plenty to do if you are super-fit and adventurous but if you're not then the are easy walks and the team will adjust to your level so you can get outside and enjoy the mountains. The house is cosy and has great views - there is a boot room for heating ski boots etc. and a hot tub outside for apres-ski. Yoga was good too - with proper grippy mats and all necessary equipment and Barbara was a lovely teacher. The food was delicious and I gave up trying not to eat the daily cake on day one as the smell of it baking was too good. There is really nice Austrian wine, a proper coffee machine and a range of schnapps on the bar. If you like dogs you will love Nelson and Zora and if you're not keen don't worry they will stay away from you - they're very mellow, just like the rest of the place. Would love to return.

Very much lived up to and surpassed the brochure. Highly recommended. Guests were really treated like "house guests" by Xania, Craig, Barbara and Hubert and their team. The food was mainly vegetarian but delicious, even for an avowed meat eater. The scenery is stunning and MoaAlm is right in the heart of it on a plateau 1, 000 ft above Kals.
MoaAlm Mountain Retreat
We stayed for 5 days over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Be warned - it is a bit of a mission to get to, 2-3 hours from Salzburg or Innsbruck by taxi - but absolutely worth it.
Accommodation is in a beautiful larch-clad Austrian lodge with views of the surrounding mountains and valley. Our room was huge with a big comfy bed and - even with minus temps outside - really warm, we turned the radiator off for most of our stay!
The day starts with optional yoga in the beautiful yoga studio. Barbara is a wonderful teacher, managing all-levels classes with ease. A huge buffet breakfast with guests and staff follows, then morning activity. We don't ski but love to hike, but the local slopes seem pretty good and not very touristy. Afternoon is rest time if you want, with tea (or gluwein) and cake laid on. They also have a hot tub, which is perfect to relax in with a glass of wine or local gin. Finish up with massive delicious dinner and then collapse into bed.
I think my favourite thing about MoaAlm was how welcoming everyone is. You don't feel like you are in a hotel, more like you're staying with friends or family. We loved the communal, laid-back approach. Much love also for resident doggy Nelson and his companion Zora. Already planning to visit the company's other retreat in Croatia this summer!

Set in a wonderful location on the alps, views were great all round and the decor though modern but i felt really cosy. The hosts/staff were fantastic and friendly, you get to know all of them! Amazing fresh cake baked daily, meals were great and healthy - abs love it! We spent New Years on the mountains and they threw a fantastic meal. We used the hot tub quite a bit to enjoy the views of the mountains and for star gazing. We also had a great time with the other guests, enjoyed having meals together, chatting or playing card games. We left the place feeling very happy and making new friends along the way. Many thanks to Hubert, Barbara, Craig, Xania, Lukas, Dodi and Ivor!

Rooms- we had rooms 1 & 2 - beautiful view from the balcony, enough space, clean, good beds, everything one needs when hiking, rafting, mountainbiking (-:
The Location is very, very unique. The remote location around Grossglockner is unspoiled and pure. One feels very close to nature. The MoaAlm mountain-house is our type of 'livingroom' - minimalistic, clean, cosy, well designed - friendly. The yoga room also serves as table tennis room (both activities were well used during our week)
The team consisting of Barbara, Hubert, Beatrix, Dodijn and Yvonne were more than excellent. The team is very authentic and did everything possible to make us feel at home. Each activity either Hubert of Barbara was guiding us - we had great hikes, climbs, bike-tours and rafting experiences .. the yoga was a great start of each day.
The dogs which are so very much part of MoaAlm, Nelson and Shiva were great for all our family pictures (-: joining our hikes and other activities ..
The food: what can we say .. also excellent .. local, fresh and organic products - homemade cake each afternoon, absolutely great breakfast, everything prepared with a lot of attention by Beatrix and her team.
We couldn't have had a better time! This retreat is so much more than a bed and breakfast. Most importantly, Barbara and Hubert treat you like family from the minute you get there. Then they do everything from lead morning yoga, thru planning daily hikes and activities, to working with Beatrix and company to make healthy, wonderful meals. My wife and I got the escape from New York we were looking for. The house is spacious, clean, and beautiful. We're so glad we stayed there! Thank you Hubert and Barbara!!!
This perfectly positioned guesthouse offers all you could want. Amazing views, fantastically friendly staff with great skills in cooking, trekking and yoga. You can re balance yourself, challenge yourself and indulge yourself in great company and surroundings. The staff here do everything right.
This holiday was easily the best I've ever been on. Everyone there was so kind and welcoming, the activities were engaging and exciting (not to mention so much fun) and the food was amazing! The rooms, accompanied by stunning views, were comfortable and spotless. You would have to try very hard not to enjoy this delightful experience. As a teenager myself, I would highly recommend this to families who want to get outdoors.

I was so relaxed after my holiday here I forgot to put on a review. This place is simply fantastic. Amazing location and fun to get pulled up in the tracker and ski/board down making it feel remote without being too far from the local village. The accommodation is fantastic and super clean. Views are worth the visit alone. The food was also great. The best thing about the holiday however is the staff- fantastic bunch who go over and above to make the holiday great, catering to everyone's ability/interest in our group- we had downhill days, ski touring days and cross country days as well as lots of ski/board tips. Yoga in the morning was also great especially with a view of the mountains. Can't wait to go back!

We spent a week hiking, e-biking and rafting at MoaAlm. From start to finish it was a superb experience. the mix of homely atmosphere and youthful energy was perfect for our teenage children, who just loved everything about this holiday. In fact, they say they never want to go on a beach holiday again!
I really had a wonderful time at Moa Alm. Their holiday concept idea of it being a home away from home is really special and appreciated. Barbara, Hubert and the team really do make all the guests feel like part of the family. It was great to all eat together around the one table. The chalet is beautiful and comfortable, the view from the sun terrace is wonderful. The hikes were stunning and it was great to see part of Austria that would be difficult to otherwise see. The yoga classes were another highlight as was the food which was excellent. It was a genuine and unique holiday experience.
I had a really fabulous time at Moa Alm. Barbara, Hubert, Dodijn, Beatrix and Nelson (the most gorgeous dog) make you feel so welcome. The chalet is beautiful and comfortable, the views from both my room and the sun terrace were wonderful. The hikes were stunning and it was great to see such a beautiful part of Austria. Barbara is a great yoga teacher and can accommodate people of all levels in one class - whilst making sure each person reaches their own limit. The food was excellent and lovely to all eat together around one big dining room table. It was a genuine and unique holiday experience. I hope to return in the winter. The guys couldn't do enough for you.

Went here for a week to do a beginner course in mountaineering. The activities during the week were very well planned out and suited for anyone in good shape who is interested in mountaineering.
On top of that, the accommodation as well as the atmosphere at the MoaAlm are great. Hubert, Barbara and their staff (and Nelson!) make for great company and make sure that you feel welcome. Daily dinner and breakfast are shared with the hosts and all guests, so you'll not only have a relaxing holiday, but also make some new friends!

I would like to thank Barbara, Hubert, Beatrix and Dodyn for a fantastic holiday in Moa Alm. The hospitality was superb. The accomadation was great and the food was amazing. Kals is a really beautiful part of Austria. The combination of yoga and hillwalking worked very well and was adapted to suit all. As a solo traveller I was made to feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this holiday to anyone interested in an active but very relaxing holiday.

The MoaAlm, honestly is something else... I just returned from an unforgettable mountaneering week at this place. After wandering into the Alm during my last skitrip in Kals, I knew for sure I wanted to come back during the summer to explore the Grosslglockner with the team from MoaAlm. Excellent choice as I have had a memorable week in the alps doing a lot of exciting new activities in and around the amazing area of Kals. The sceneries you get around here are breathtaking. This is not where the mass tourism hang out. It's quiet, but you won't miss a thing as the MoaAlm has it all. And the bar at the Taurerwirt hotel is just around the corner if you are up for a beer or schnapps with some locals. Also the outdoor shop & rental place at the Gradonna Mountain Resort is worth a visit. Especially if you are in need of some last minute mountaineering gear. Barbara and Hubert are doing an excellent job in making sure their guests get what they come for. Well organised activities and in good cooperation with the local mountain guides. It was amazing to spend a week with like-minded people learning new skills and enjoying the great atmosphere created by the whole MoaAlm team. They make you feel very much at home. Special thanks also to Dodijn and Beatrix for the great food and drinks they put on the table each day. You made my taste budds tickle!
Even though I came alone this time, I would love to take my friends next time I come up! I will be back for sure.

A wonderful week in a lovely accommodation; our room was big, bright, with wonderful views. We were looked after by Barbara, Hubert, Beatrix, and Florian with all our needs catered for. All the hikes were well chosen in terms of location, length, and level of difficulty. The yoga at 7:30 a.m. was a joy. I miss it still. The mindfulness led by Clare was inspiring. I'm still making time for my sit spots. The food was wonderful. We will definitely be back! We love you Nelson!
I had a fantastic week at MoaAlm, where I participated in the Grossglockner Mountaineering Week (June 25th - July 2nd, 2016). I would definitely recommend mountaineering enthusiasts (both beginners and more experienced climbers) who wish to climb Grossglockner to go!
The one week program included many alpine activities led both by Barbara and Hubert (who are certified Tirolean Mountain Hiking Guides) and by professional mountain guides from the village Kals am Grossglockner. We started with a "warming up" hike to Schönleitenspitze (2805 m) to test our legs and to assess the (physical) ability from the members of the group on day one. On day two, we went on a mountain bike ride through the East Tirolian Dorfer Valley, a beautiful national park. Day three and four were scheduled for the ascent of Grossglockner, the highlight of our week. The first of the two days, we hiked to Studlhutte (2,802 meters) in the morning and we had a training on the glacier near Studlhutte in the afternoon. During the training, we were taught rope techniques, crevasse rescue techniques and how to safely cross a glacier. We had dinner and stayed the night in the Studlhutte. After an alpine start on day four, we climbed Grossglockner (3798 m; Austrians highest mountain)! After a well deserved lunch, we descended back to MoaAlm in the afternoon. Day five was our day of rest (and was also the spare day to climb Grossglockner in the event of bad weather conditions). On day six, we went rock climbing with the mountain guide in the morning (Blauspitze, 2,595 meters). The route was not too demanding, which was necessary for some of the less experienced climbers in the group. In the afternoon, we went sport climbing. Since Hubert was training for the Grossglockner Ultra Trail, we also went trail running through some of the toughest tracks in the area.
I really enjoyed my stay in MoaAlm and am really happy we made it to the summit of Grossglockner. I think this mountaineering week has lots to offer for climbers of different levels. Barbara and Hubert have profound knowledge of the mountains and are in close contact with the guides, which means they are flexible to adjust the program depending on weather conditions and the abilities of the members of the group. The local mountain guides are very experienced and professional.
In short: an amazing week full of alpine adventure, with the luxury of returning to MoaAlm (almost) every night to enjoy the warmth and comfort of Barbara's and Hubert's hospitality!
A remote spot of luxury high in the Alpine forest, MoaAlm is an inspiring place in many ways. The quality and space of the accommodation, the thoughtful attention that Barbara and Hubert pay to everyone's needs, the fabulous meals by Florian and Beatrix, and the stunning mountain location were all idyllic. Waking up to the bedroom views of mountain mists and deer set me up well for days of wonderful food (inc cake), company, space, hiking (and in my case mindfulness of nature retreat activities led by author Claire Thompson). Nelson the mountain dog is also lovely company. My experience at MoaAlm will remain deep in my mind forever.

We returned from our first family ski trip relaxed, rejuvenated, and inspired. I am not sure what we enjoyed most; being surrounded by the mountains, learning to ski again, being outside, or seeing the kids hurling themselves down the slopes.
We have been carefully considering whether Oscars Apple cake was the best cake ever or whether eating after day one on the slopes was just one of life's good moments.
Mo Alm is a great setting, a world away from previous sking trips. Kals worked very well for us. Hiring the kit was really quick and easy, no lift queues (even during school holidays), good value lunches, and very friendly locals (stopping to help with my haphazard cross country skiing technique).
We have already booked for 2016 and are taking our neighbours with us (not sure if it's the food or the skiing they are coming for).

I cannot recommend MoaAlm highly enough. We had the most wonderful week with beautiful views, delicious food, interesting company, great skiing (downhill and cross country), and to top it all snow-shoeing some of the way up Austria's highest peak, Grossglockner. Everyone at MoaAlam bent over backwards to make each day a great experience.
A week at MoaAlm mountain retreat is everything you thought it would be and more. Amazing food, beautiful surroundings, and awesome people. Waking up with yoga classes with Barbara is a bliss, Nothing like a good stretch in the morning. The ski resort has some great slopes and facilities are really good and well kept. Ofcourse the Moaalm crew is happy to help you around the slopes and give some great tips on where to go and when. The food is unreal! Every night is a food party on your plate. But most of all, the people (Xania, Craig, Hubert, Barbara, Oskar, and Martin) are really the reason why our holiday was so great! So, thank you! It was amazing!
We had the best holiday ever at MoaAlm! The food is great, the hospitality even better. Barbara, Hubert, Oskar, Craig en Xania really make you feel right at home, will show around and make you ski like you're an pro. The yoga was a really nice morning wake up activity and at night you can have some great wines. What makes this place even better is Nelson. The most cutest dog you've ever seen. Really would recomment this place to everyone who want the feeling of having a month holiday instead of a week, enjoys good food and perfect hospitality.
We spent a memorable, amazing, funny, playful week at MoaAm with our family of four young girls. The staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. It was like staying with great friends, who just wanted to take you in, with the added bonus of a couple of cuddly dogs to play with all the time. The meals were delicious and interesting, and the afternoon cakes divine. Our kids learned loads in an afternoon of guided ski with Hubert and really improved their skills. Barbara's excellent yoga classes set us up for skiing every day and worked out the kinks each morning after. We will certainly treasure the memories of this trip and are already talking about going back!

Lovely seven days with clear blue skies and fresh snow. Food was excellent and good range of activities. I had not been on a snow holiday before and had opportunity to try out snow shoeing, rodelling, and cross country skiing. Down hill was additional. Yoga was well taught. Did opt out of one day's activities to be able to spend time in solitude outside which had been an aim for me. Due to it's lovely position the transfer from airport is long (three hours).

This place is quite a find! Located in an incredible location, up the mountain above the village of Kals. Xania and Craig, the owners, were great - explored some of the valley with snow shoes and did cross country skiing as well - was surprised how much I enjoyed the cross-country. And then the food - which was delicious! Their chef Oskar is amazing. Would totally recommend a week at MoaAlm - and I forgot the yoga! Yoga, great hikes, incredible location, great food. What more could you want!
A nice tight building in the Austrian Alps. Rooms are super clean and new. This also applies to the living room and the rest of the property. Everything is kept clean and care for your super. Relax after an active day.
We had a perfect stay at Moalm. It felt like everything was possible, from watching stars at night in complete silence to rodel down the mountains on sleds, different kinds of yoga and different mountain hikes (intens en challenging or quite and just beautiful). Thanks to the hosts Barbara en Hubert, the program was precisely adjust to everybody's wishes. The food was really delicious (thanks Oskar!) and the views were amazing. Really worth visiting, you won't regret it. Perfect also if you are traveling with your family and people have different wishes for what they like to do.

This is the second time we have stayed with Xania and Craig, but the first time with them in Austria along with Hubert, Barbara, Oskar, and Martin. Vis was amazing and Moa Alm was just as good. We travelled as a family of four with children aged 8 and 15 and they tailored activities suitable for all. Skiing was fab and Barbara took my eldest up higher slopes which was great and made his holiday, thanks Barbara!
Food was great, thanks Oskar! Martin in cafe was a great help building the igloo and great fun sledging to the restaurant. That was never on my bucket list but I'm going to write it on just to cross it off. Moaalm is stunning... very warm, comfy, clean, spacious and always welcoming. Honestly another top class memorable holiday. Can't thank you all enough. Would recommend to everyone.

I honestly cannot recommend MoaAlm enough. As a solo traveler, I am always interested in new challenges and visiting places that are off-the-beaten-track. Thank you so much to Hubert, Barbara, Oscar, and Martin for making me feel part of the MoaAlm family and for the most unforgettable week, packed with snowshoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, yoga, and amazing food. Even if I'm a regular hiker but an absolute rookie at snow sports, that was not an issue, with them willing to take the time to explain to me how to use the equipment before we started off on our adventure. They take special care with attention to detail and I loved that they tailor your holiday based around what you decided you want to do the night before! Also, dietary requirements were no issue, with the chef Oscar whipping up heavenly dishes for any needs. The communal dining was another plus, allowing you to socialize and get to know your hosts and other guests. Also, if you're not too tired from the day before's activities, you may spend at least one morning watching the sunrise over the mountains. Thanks again for the laughs and treasured memories. I had a super relaxing week, enjoying the sunshine and snow with unforgettable views over Grossglockner, the Alps, and the Dolomites. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for something special away from the crowds. Definitely a highlight in my trip. In a word, this place was phenomenal.

The food was amazing and also the daily yoga class by Barbara, it helped us to unwind from the usual stress.
My wife and I were looking for an outdoors-oriented and exciting holiday, without the commercialism found in a packaged pre-planned chalet getaway; and MoaAlm could not have been a better choice. We knew we'd arrived at the right place on the first day when we were greeted with a cup of coffee and some cake which we enjoyed alongside other guests who had just come back from a mountain hike. Each evening we sat down to an amazing three-course dinner prepared by the on-site chef, whose cooking is only outdone by the care he took to accommodate our food preferences. But for us, the real highlight of our stay was the easy-going atmosphere. We wanted to be in the mountains as much as possible, and the staff arranged challenging and expertly guided activities for us, while simultaneously accommodating the preferences of other guests who had come to enjoy the views, food and to relax. Yoga each morning was also a treat and while it was our first time, we got a real kick from trying it. The best recommendation I can give is that before we even left, my wife and I began planning our next visit. MoaAlm will certainly be a place that we will enjoy visiting time and time again.
Just before Christmas, we stayed in MoaAlm for a week, which has been an absolute pleasure. First of all, the retreat is situated beautifully in the middle of the mountains on a 10-minute drive uphill from the mountain village Kals, which gives the place a remote feeling, yet well accessible by car. The interior is cozy, contemporary, and clean, with large windows offering great views on the Austrian Alpes. What we particularly enjoyed at the MoaAlm was the relaxed atmosphere amongst all guests and hosts, which made us feel very much at home. Barbara and Hubert organize a variety of activities, such as hiking and yoga classes, in a professional manner, tailored to the wishes of the guests, in which you are free to participate whenever you like. This makes it very easy to enjoy the surroundings in an active way. Furthermore, the food at MoaAlm is a real treat, especially the three-course dinners prepared by chef Oskar. They are both delicious and healthy. The MoaAlm definitely exceeded all our expectations!

If you like fresh mountain air, lush food, and good company, this is the holiday for you. The setting of MoaAlm could not be more perfect. Its location at the top of Kals village ensures beautiful mountain views from each and every window and the balcony too. You can soak up the views of the mountains during the day and the spectacular stars by night. Barbara, Hubert, Craig, and Xania are brilliant hosts, really friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. They were really committed to helping us get the most out of our holiday and offered lots of suggestions and options for the guided activities. Making me feel that it was my holiday rather than a pre-organized trip. Most days started with Barbara's optional yoga class, which was both rejuvenating and relaxing. The days were then spent hiking, snow shoeing, or skiing, all in the close vicinty of MoaAlm, so not much driving needed. On return from these fantastic days out, there was always a slice of Oskar's cake and a cup of tea ready and waiting! Evenings were also great. MoaAlm's talented chef, Oskar, served us freshly cooked, delicious, healthy, and plentiful food, which was a total treat at the end of a hard day in the mountains. MoaAlm is both stylish and comfortable, with plenty of seating areas to relax and read in or chatter with new friends. There are also plenty of games to play! The bedrooms are comfortable, with nice lighting, and the view from the balcony is an added bonus. What I liked least? Having to leave!
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy amidst a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing needs, anything goes, and there is delicious food and drinks. I highly recommend it, considering you can do a lot of activities here, such as skiing, hiking, and cycling, but you can also do nothing. Recommended!

We arrived in the evening, at eleven o'clock, for a retreat for a week and were warmly welcomed with a drink of our own choice from the well stocked bar. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals with friends were all served at the big table, prepared by the fantastic, imaginative cook, Oskar. All necessary ingredients in the mountains were gleaned by him and Navid, our waiter. The program of yoga by Barbara for breakfast, and mindfulness then in the beautiful yoga room overlooking the mountains, began for me as a fairly strict regime but was a good way to find peace, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and the friendliness of everyone around me. The afternoons were outside, walking in the wide, spectacular scenery of the Grossglockner; spent under the direction of Barbara or Hubert, and Nelson puppy as he wanted. An unforgettable week.
Together with my girlfriend, I visited last July the guest's stay of Barbara and Hubert. MoaAlm is a beautiful, brand new, renovated cottage and stands on top of a mountain, which towers high above the village of Kals. MoaAlm is very stylishly decorated, the bedrooms are very spacious, comfortable, and clean and the beds sleep insanely delicious. The food is served by chef Oscar and I must confess that I have rarely eaten so good. His dishes are extremely surprising and really exceptionally tasteful. I did not think you could eat so delicious in a mountain hut in the middle of nowhere. Food in MoaAlm is served with all the guests and staff together at a long table and gives a very special atmosphere. This makes the guest's stay really feel like a home rather than a place where that week you happen to have booked a room. In terms of the location of the shelter, it is unique in its kind. I, after many years of mountain vacations, have never been in such a beautiful spot in the Alps. We have taken pictures during our walks that could have come straight out of the background check of Windows XP. There are plenty of wildlife to see and the views are truly spectacular. For the more adventurous, there is plenty to be found in the immediate vicinity of MoaAlm. For example, we go rafting, which was completely crazy, but you can go paragliding, mountain biking, rock climbing, and much more. The icing on the cake was to be awake every morning during Barbara's excellent yoga classes with a panoramic view of Kals. I will definitely come back to MoaAlm. I am especially curious about how the winter is there. A holiday here is an absolute must if you're looking for tranquility, thrills, and great food; all your expectations are exceeded. In one word: Wow!
With two small children, aged six and two years, it was great to relax in the MoaAlm. The guest house was very clean but, above all, very cozy. The atmosphere was very relaxed and everyone felt at home and we were very spoiled by Hubert, Barbara, and Oskar. Everything is super well organized, so you have to think about anything. The area was also very suitable for a young family, with children's walking routes to toboggan and water parks. It was even thought for the smallest. A wonderful, active, relaxed place to definitely return to.

Beautiful area, where we've taken part in all kinds of fun activities and returned home each day to be received again with welcoming and warm, delicious food, and cozy evenings. In addition, you can shop in nature! Really recommended!
Great views, great food, very hospitable owner, and spacious rooms. The owners make every day to your liking, scheduling a program in the form of hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, or raften. Elke day is a real surprise. A top vacation; something you cannot miss!
We had a wonderful time at MoaAlm in Kals am Gross Glockner. They have a warm and friendly atmosphere; Barbara and Hubert are great hosts, who made us feel very welcome. The food by chef Oskar was delicious and the location is superb, away from the crowds and surrounded by splendid mountains. They offer hiking, rafting, cycling, and yoga in the morning to stretch our muscles.
The three nights in the lovingly furnished MoaAlm was an experience for all nature lovers, sports enthusiasts, explorers, and lovers of fine cuisine. Thanks for the great time, love, and care. The common meals, hikes, yoga classes, and game nights were a lot of fun, just like the time alone in nature or simply in the cozy rooms. Kudos and thanks to you and to the chef, the food was a treat.
After spending time at MoaAlm, I am tempted to spend every vacation in the future at this guest house. Where to start? There are three main features to MoaAlm that make a vacation here a perfect blend of relaxation, activity, adventure, and unique experiences. The mountain adventures, the incredible food, and the yoga made our time here perfectly and uniquely balanced. First of all, MoaAlm's location in the mountains made waking up each day exciting and full of gratitude. Hubert and Barbara take you on wonderful hikes in the mountains, which are layered in blankets of alpine flowers. I also highly recommend the canyoning and rafting tours, as they are incredibly fun and immersive in nature. The alm is somewhat isolated in the mountains, which truly made it a peaceful mountain retreat, with only a 25-minute hike into the lush valley, and doing yoga overlooking the mountains each morning was incredible. Barbara, the yoga teacher, is incredibly skilled and can adjust the classes to any level. Oskar, the chef, makes such delicious dinners that I worked even harder on hikes so I could be hungrier in the evening and fit in more food. The rooms are modern, simple, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Oskar, Hubert, and Barbara were incredibly wonderful hosts, with much to contribute to intellectual conversation, a wonderful sense of humor, and great at achieving days of balance tailored to guests' desires. The adventures helped our bodies and minds relax, and the evening filled with reading, board games, beer, and delicious food kept us satisfied. As someone who loves outdoor adventures and flavor-rich food, this was definitely the right place. I am definitely going to recommend MoaAlm to my friends and family.
Excellent chalet in a beautiful area of Tyrol. Rooms are light, quiet, clean, and have a good kingsize bed. Early morning yoga becomes addictive, as is the fresh and healthy breakfast. Guides know the area very well and offer beautiful hikes and mountain bike tours. Terrace has the best view of the area, with sunlight the entire afternoon and a nice cappuccino. The three-course meal is local, organic, and original; but most of all, delicious. MoaAlm has very professional and friendly staff. Absolute value for money!

Dreamlike location, mountains as far as the eye can see in all directions. Very lovingly furnished guest house, to feel comfortable. Super dear host, always on the well by the guest. Tolle operations (mountain biking, hiking). Yoga to wake up in the morning, when you feel like it. Excellent food, thanks Oskar. Thanks for the hospitality, Barbara and Hubert, it was a great trip for us with you, and we very much would like to come back.
We just spent a very nice, active, and in the same time relaxing week at MoaAlm. We made beautiful hikes in the surrounding area of the National Park Hohe Tauern; every effort was rewarded by stunning views and awesome landscapes. I have never seen so many beautiful alpin flowers. The e-mountain biking trip with Hubert gave the muscles a twist and the head a swirl. The atmosphere in and around the MoaAlm is absolutely relaxing. There was more than enough space in the guest room and a lovely family sitting and dining room. The food is amazing (thanks to Oscar) and also the daily yoga class by Barbara helped us to unwind from the usual stress. We enjoyed the stay from the beginning to the end and will highly recommend it to people searching a lot of pleasure in their leisure. Thank you Hubert, Barbara, and Oscar for feeling at home in the MoaAlm.
MoaAlm is the most peaceful destination, if you want combine outdoor activities in an amazing alpin landscape with relaxation. I spent several days at this magic spot and loved every minute of the stay. Thanks to the MoaAlm team for the family environment. And yes, Oscar’s apple cake is the best.
It was a very pleasant stay in the freshly renovated MoaAlm! The modern and at the same time classic interior allowed relaxing reading but, thanks to the amazing view, also made me think about what trip to take next in the beautiful mountain ranges nearby the MoaAlm. For people who finally want to escape, this is the place to go!
We immediately felt we had made the right choice on the drive up to the hotel, through the breathtaking Austrian mountains, where we were immediately made to feel part of the family and began to fall into the whole relaxed atmosphere that surrounds MoaAlm. Everything was taken care for us, leaving us more time to unwind before getting ready to go snow shoeing, skiing, or for yoga. Meal times were a sociable time too, eating beautifully cooked food around an amazing big table with other guests really encouraged us to mix, we now have made some lovely friends, who we hope to meet there again. Cleanliness was second to none and there was something to suit all of us everyday, including keeping a busy 6-year-old entertained. I really can't speak highly enough of our holiday and look forward to many more years of holidays at MoaAlm.
