Holycombe will be the perfect setting for this retreat. A natural stream rises from a holy well in the nearby wood, passes though the grounds and down a waterfall. The sound of running water adds to the sense of peace and tranquility. A coppice provides shady outdoor space; there's a campfire area and a large stone circle on the castle site.

Across a meadow is the ancient Whichford Wood with many rare species of trees and plants, an abundance of wood anemones, primroses, and bluebells in spring; chestnuts, blackberries, and sloes in autumn. Wildlife abounds: everything from Muntjack to polecats and kingfishers.

There are five bedrooms all together. Upstairs there is a double-bedded room with kitchenette, two twins beds, and bathroom with bath or shower. Downstairs there is a double-bedded room, one twin-bedded room, and another bathroom with bath or shower. There is a cozy sitting room with log fire and an attractive tiled kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and under-counter oven and electric hob, and all necessary utensils.

The kitchen french windows open out on the south facing patio, and beautiful view. Although the house sleeps 10, it is most comfortable with six to eight guests as the kitchen and sitting room are not huge. Guests are asked to bring there own top and bottom sheets, pillow cases, and towels unless they are travelling from abroad, and then Holycombe will supply them for a small extra charge. The house is centrally heated and there is abundant hot water.

Over the weekend, you will consider what well-being really is. Rejuvenate, regenerate, and cleanse your body and mind on a holistic retreat! You will be given vital, new information on nutrition, mineral supplements, and superfoods. You will learn breathing technique which alkalizes the body, supports and stimulates the liver, and balances your emotions.

"Abi and I are well and looking forward to Christmas at home with our close family. We were talking today about what an impact your retreat has had on us – particularly Abi. She has gained so much confidence and zest for life in the last 6 months, helped by fantastic GCSE results and really enjoying studying for her A Levels at our local 6th form college. We have also both stopped eating meat and are pescetarian (on our way to being vegetarian :). We are both feeling the health benefits and have much improved complexion, hair and nails. We have also been enjoying doing yoga."

"Attending Rina's detox retreat at Holycombe truly was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I arrived in a daze of confusion regarding not only my inner thoughts but also with my relationship with food and I left with such an immense sense of clarity, calmness and the strength to commit to a healthy diet which my body so desperately craved. "

"Rina’s weekend detox retreat was an absolute breath of fresh air. The balance of invigorating morning yoga and a deeply restorative afternoon Yin session fully satisfied my yoga cravings, whilst the exceptional juices, salads, soups and snacks all freshly prepared nourished me far more than expected. There was space within the weekend to snooze, read, walk and massage yet the best bit of all was that I left having learnt a lot about nutrition. Thanks to Rina, bee pollen and chaga tea are now weekly staples and my body has never been happier!"

"Rina created a nourishing, calming space. I loved the balance of yoga by the fire, walking in the woods, free time for thinking and reflecting, and cooking yummy food together. I considered myself someone who already knew a lot about healthy eating but I learnt a lot, and got fired up to learn more especially about superfoods after the weekend."

"Rina ran a wonderful retreat. It was extremely relaxing and I came away feeling light and lovely. She is very practical -you don't have to come away with a complete change of mindset about how to live your life, but some practical tips about health and well-being that make a real difference. I highly recommend."

  • Review by Lizzie from Bradford, UK

"As I have found with her approach to yoga, Rina embodies everything that she teaches, with clarity, poise and precision. Her direct and distinctly unfussy approach is accompanied by a vast wealth of knowledge gained by personal experience. Rina speaks of the alchemy behind living food and as with all magical recipes it remains the secret ingredient. As with most things nowadays, there is information available to us at our fingertips or in all good bookshops. Rina's intimate and knowledgeable approach cuts through the hours you could so easily spend trawling for information, comparing reviews, and recipes."

"Rina is very knowledgeable about foods from different countries and their health enhancing properties and has many books on the subject which we were welcome to browse through. Lunch of courgette pasta with basil pesto, crackers, and a sun-dried tomato dip was delicious, and what can I say about chocolate nut slice?! "

"Rina created a wonderful nourishing space, and her yoga and meditation classes took me beyond my previous experience to a calm, warm and beautiful place in my mind whilst enabling me to make new shapes with my body. The food we cooked was delicious I really did not know raw food could be so incredible and I learned a lot about feeding my body with the nutrients it craves to work best. The surroundings were divine and the group sessions supportive and illuminating. I left feeling refreshed and uplifted with my mind and body truly detoxed, relaxed, and energized. I can really only describe the experience as magnificent. I am so grateful I went, it is probably the most positive thing I have done for myself in a very long time."
