On this retreat, you will learn the yogic practices of asana (physical postures) and pranayama (breathwork), which are great tools to help you find balance in your life and body. These practices are a deep purification of the nervous system, bringing the body back to a state of balance by managing the internal pressure. They work on a physiological, emotional, mental and psychological level. And they give you that wonderful yogi glow! We will help you build a self-practice that you can take home with you. Consider it a gift you give yourself.
For the detox part of this retreat, you will start off by filling in a pre-detox questionnaire before you arrive. Based on your questionnaire, we will put you on the detox program that is best for you. Your detox is included in the price of your retreat tuition, and includes: seven full days worth of detox supplements, three meals and a snack for seven days, and one liver flush.
Samahita Retreat was established in 2003 on Koh Samui, and is known as the islands hidden gem. Formerly known as Yoga Thailand, our full service retreat center features 40 rooms, a detox and wellness center and the celebrated health-food restaurant, Sattva Dining.
It is located in the south of Koh Samui, right on the beach. It is in a quiet area off the beaten track, with plenty of privacy and comforts, yet still close to markets and amenities. The beach is virtually ours alone, many rooms in our yoga retreat have a direct sea view, while the surroundings are lush and green. Many of Koh Samuis special attractions are down the south near us, waterfalls to temples and more. A walk down our beach brings you to the golden Laem Sor Pagoda of a realized Buddhist monk, whose force has drawn us to be established in this special spot.

Samahita Retreat lies on the south coast of Koh Samui, a tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand that still has long stretches of pristine beaches and unspoiled land. The ideal setting for Thailand holiday packages, it is only about an hour away from Bangkok by air, an hour plus from Singapore, and three hours from Hong Kong. Koh Samui has the allure of a remote island paradise but with the accessibility of the regions most popular destinations.
Situated on Laem Sor beach, Samahita Retreat is surrounded by towering coconut trees in a quiet, spacious area, with incredible sunrises and sunsets that play with the colors of the water, sand and tropical fauna. Only a few hundred meters away is the well-known Laem Sor Pagoda, which houses the remains of Leung Poo Daeng, a realized monk. The only other structures in the area are villas privately owned. As such, our beach is private and virtually undisturbed, creating a beautiful, peaceful setting for you to enjoy your Thailand yoga holiday and chosen wellness packages. The main shopping areas are still within easy reach, about fifteen to thirty minutes away by car or motorbike and Samahita Retreats gentle setting inspires long, refreshing walks on the beach or through the meandering back roads.

Tickets for the train can be booked at Bangkok Airport, Bangkok Railway Station, and many travel agencies in Bangkok.
To purchase your train tickets in advance, Asia Discover Thailand can arrange for the tickets to be mailed or to be picked up at your Bangkok hotel. Allow at least one month before your departure date to arrange for train tickets.
Samui to Bangkok
Take the 2 p.m. boat from Nathon to the mainland, and a connecting bus will take you from the pier to the train station in Surathani.
Tickets purchased from agents in Samui normally include the boat, bus, and train fares. The ticket is cheaper if you go to the station yourself, but there is a good chance the train will be fully booked as much as a week in advance.
