The location is perfect the chef cooking is divine! If you really want to be with your self this is the place, not recommended for honeymoon couples, the noise insulation is not perfect... The spa is professional and beautiful.

What a magical location. Santani might be a bit remote but it's worth the time and effort to get there! This was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The service, accommodation, and facilities were all exceptional.

This hotel is perfection. Our expectations were extremely high before we got there (from pictures and reviews), and when we left, I am happy to say that they've exceeded our expectations!

Their food is out of this world and its super healthy and delicious. Staff and service in general is beyond amazing. We were pampered and literally all the staff were kind.

It took us a while to get there but it was definitely worth the ride! (Do not use google maps all the way for this hotel, it would be better to ask the locals or taxis to give you directions) Would definitely come again♥️

In a country where tea trails has long since ruled the luxury resort scene, this newcomer might just be the new “it” place. Santani embodies all the virtues of a spiritual ashram with the luxuries of a five-star wellness retreat. Offering curated wellness programs with elements of Ayurveda, detox, yoga and spa, Santani ensures every guest receives exactly what they need to heal. They strike the balance between pampering and rejuvenation through harnessing the power of the natural surroundings that make this site so harmonious. If you are looking for peaceful restoration and pampering, this is the place!

Ten days at Santani was pure heaven. The peaceful location in the hills around Kandy provided a backdrop for healing and renewal. I took the kind and compassionate advice of Dr. Ravi and followed the Ayuvedic treatments and diet. Not that hard to do as the food was out of this world and the treatments were of the same caliber. Discussed with him my sleep problems and he individualized my treatments to balance my Vata. Learned a lot about myself, found the hikes to the river a great place for reflection. Met lots of lovely people, guests and staff.

Back in the U.S. I am sleeping much, much better. I feel less anxious and I am so very, very grateful to all of those that have made Santani possible. Without a doubt I will return next year for a two week retreat.

A serene escape in the stunning mountain area near Kandy. The days pass effortlessly with morning and evening yoga, treks through the jungle, swims in the pool, spa treatments and delicious 3-7 course meals. You won't have to think - you can just be. Be sure to the the Abhyangam massage - better than anything in the West.

Food is beautifully prepared and delicious and the waiters make a real effort to understand your preference and make you comfortable.

Practical matters: The resort is four to five hours (don't believe Google maps) from Colombo airport, through very windy jungle roads. I suggest getting a chauffeur drive (the hotel can arrange) rather than driving yourself, or using the sea plane. I also suggest a minimum of three nights to make it worthwhile.

We stayed in this wonderful place in December for a short holiday. It was the most wonderful experience. The place is so calm and peaceful , exactly what you need after a busy and hectic lifestyle. The location is so serene and calm with a view to die for. One would only here the sounds of the birds and occasionally a train from far far away.

The rooms are built to open into the beautiful view with a minimalistic luxury.

The staff here couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

The food was absolutely delicious, all fruit and veg home grown and organic. The chef is one of the best I have ever come across, literally can make anything taste delicious.

The spa and the wellness centre is by far one of the best I have ever been to. They would cater to your individual beef and they all therapist are extremely experienced including the yoga instructor.

I just left Santani after a three night solo stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough if you're looking for what I was - peace, quiet, beauty, fresh air, simplicity combined with luxury. I needed time alone to recharge and it was absolutely perfect. The rooms are gorgeous (stunning view right from the bed), the location very remote, the spa sublime (amazing massage and facial in incredible surroundings - the architecture blends right in so you almost feel you're in the jungle, yet still in total luxury), the staff were friendly, attentive but not invasive in any way. Even the security guards went out of their way to be caring and considerate. But the standout win - the most incredible food I've had in a very long time! Fresh and healthy and varied and insanely delicious, beautifully presented, every bite a delight. Wonderful.

Stayed for a week in mid September at Santani, the newly opened wellness resort & spa. Beautiful location, a bit off the beaten track but wonderful once you are there! Eco friendly minimalist architecture & spectacular views from the individual chalets,

Loved the overall ambiance & facilities on offer especially yoga, Ayurvedic massages, outdoor &salt therapy pool and sauna. The best part was the exquisitely prepared & presented gourmet meals by the master chef! Each meal was a truly gratifying sensory experience!

Very friendly & helpful staff. I suppose it will take a month or so for the place to be fully functional as there was still some construction work in progress.

Highly recommended for a relaxing yet energizing wellness experience!
