In addition to six days of a daily routine of yoga and meditation, you will learn how to heal through conscious living and detox to revitalize the body and spirit. This retreat also includes five sessions about food and nutrition, either by way of audio, video, a reading, or live talks with a staff member. As well, you will have a one-hour healing therapy through massage, breath work, or sound therapy. A community of caring and conscious individuals will support you on your journey, as you will have personal guidance at all times.
In your spare time, you’re more than welcome to access the beautiful beaches, use the far infrared ray sauna, and access the various healing modalities described below.
Breath work sessions are a complete self-healing system using conscious breath to facilitate improved well-being, inner peace, and greater joy in life. At The Sanctuary recorded audio-guided breath sessions in a group are offered. These sessions, facilitated by one a staff member, not only help to oxygenate the body and therefore help to heal physical disease, but also can be transformational on other levels. They usually last for seventy-five to ninety minutes, including sharing about the experience afterwards in a heart circle.
Dry skin brushing is another excellent way to stimulate the lymphatic system to help remove toxins from the body. Dry skin brushing stimulates your body from the outside in. It works to cleanse the whole system and is an effective treatment for many ailments. Accumulated waste products in the body are known to contribute to many illnesses as well as premature aging. Dry skin brushing also increases blood circulation, which helps to contribute to healthier muscle tone and better distribution of fat deposits, also known to many as cellulite.
Many of the guests learn about the huge benefits to health of colon cleansing. The Sanctuary has enema boards for this purpose.
At The Sanctuary you will find a relaxing far infrared ray sauna which produces far infrared ray energy at four to fourteen microns, which reaches deep into the body, even into the bone marrow.
FIR sauna therapy is reported to be one of the safest and most powerful ways to eliminate toxic metals, toxic chemicals, and chronic infections. It helps with weight loss, detoxification, pain relief, cancer, candida, chronic fatigue, depression, diabetes, fibromyalgia, heart disease, and much more.
Every Sunday, many people at the Sanctuary decide to fast on water, coconut water, or fruit. Although not required, this practice is highly recommended.
This basic feet soak will leave your feet and body feeling great! The ions in the salt work as magnets to draw toxins through the skin of your feet and out of your body into the water. The following ingredients are used in the soaks: one cup of Epsom salt, one cup of sea salt, and two of cups baking soda. Many of the guests report great benefits from soaking their feet daily for a week.
These practices are essential to healing. At the sanctuary, you will meditate early every morning from Monday to Saturday, then practice yoga on the rooftop palapa.
At meal times everyone says grace, offering gratitude for and blessing the food, so that it may nourish you and give you the energy to be a positive force in the world.
Mineral miracle supplement or MMS is a 22.8% solution of sodium chlorite, activated with an acid to produce chlorine dioxide gas which destroys pathogens, some viruses, and chelates heavy metals from the body.
The normal mineral miracle supplement cleanse lasts for 21 days. It has proven extremely effective for many guests at the sanctuary.
Testimonial: "I rinse my mouth with oil every morning, and it has transformed my body. This ancient practice of washing out with your mouth with oil every morning, or even three times a day, has completely detoxed my body."
Come enjoy the rebounder at the Sanctuary and experience high energy and loads of other benefits.
Shanka prakshalana is a yogic practice of cleansing the intestines using salt water.
