It's an amazing place for detox. Everything is perfect. Lovely garden and pond, good healthy food at restaurant, help staff... The only disadvantage is location, which is not a problem if you seek a peaceful place.

My friend and I decided to take 7-day Clean.me.out program at this resort. We arrived on April 29 and checked-out on May 8 with totally 9 days, 8 nights on the island. Over the program we had a very pleasant and graceful period of being isolating from the busy world. The fasting program was not only release the body toxin but also recharge out mindfulness. Although the program is almost the same every day, we enjoy the surrounding in the hideaway location especially the Yoga Sala2 where we felt the breeze all day long. We met Khun Nuch, the owner of the resort, and had a meaningful conversation about how to live healthily and how to enhance the spiritual wisdom. She is really kind and caring. At the Colima center where we have to visit there at least 5 times a day, the staffs (e.g. Jeed and ChoCho) are very friendly and they made us feel more comfortable. Thai Massage quality is above average and reasonable price. (Since we are Thai so you can count on our rating haha.) For the restaurant, we love the raw.food menu and all the healthy drink variety. Fon and Nam are superb in taking care of the guests and be always giving their smiles. Maria is a one & only yoga master and she has solid experience to coach the group. She also leads the morning early meditation session before the Yoga class. We’re really happy that we made the right choice. After breaking the program, we feel a significant change in our bodies and souls.

I stayed in one of the upper tree houses which was just like staying in my own luxurious tree house. The surroundings were perfect for a relaxing detox. I wish I'd stayed on for longer than the 7 day detox to be able to experience more healthy food in the restaurant.

Beautiful surrounding, clean and pleasant staff and management and not close to the night life or shops but if you take your car across then no problem. Note from the north east of the island you can not go to the south east (other side) and only through north west of the island you can drive to other side (busy area). This hotel is located at north east of the island.

The place is just a real piece of a paradise! I spent great 10 days there and it was the greatest vacation I could do to me. The treatment, the place, the massages, the food and yoga. The environment is very calm and everybody is so friendly. I definitely recommend this place to whom wants to relax and disconnect from daily stress.

Spa Koh Chang is in a rustic setting with cottages that blend in with the natural surroundings. You can use it simply as a relaxing place to stay, or you can partake of their fasting program. I did the 3 and 1/2 day mini fast which consists of non-solid nourishment at breakfast, lunch and dinner (e.g. carrot juice, soup broth, coconut water), periodic detox drinks (liver flush), and coffee enemas in the late afternoon. I lost 5 kilos.

Thanking you for my programme with you, found it fabulous and worth the pain and hunger, have changed my habits since, and enjoyed the experience I enjoyed the pool, and the help with the detox, the property was serene and great for a time out experience.

Our favorite place in Thailand. So pure and pristine. Hard to find and hard to leave. The raw menu was exceptional, so was the staff. Very nice tropical villas with lovely view to the jungle and mangrove. Sweet and professional management. Khun Poon and Khun Nut have been outstanding. So many nice (and free) excursions to do around the island. This place is so quiet and tranquil. A very rare place good for fasting, good for relaxation, good for rehabilitation, good for digital detox.

Beautiful Resort and great cleansing programmes, great staff, the pool is a little small but overall the place is very well kept. On-site yoga and meditation is a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay and would likely go back.

Very nice place for relax, close to nature. Nice and warm service from all the staff. The most interesting thing is the food which is delicious, fresh, and good for health. Te room is clean and private. The swimming pool is very nice.

The Spa is beautiful and the staff were extraordinary but it was very, very hot and humid so I spent two weeks in sweat soaked clothes, on damp sheets, damp towels. There were very few other guests so things were slow. I did the program with a three day fast and after 2 weeks didn't loose an ounce which was disappointing.

We had a good time here. The staff there are very nice, always smiling & very helpful. The food in the restaurant is very delicious & healthy. The surrounding area of the resort is very quite. We visited all types of rooms in the resort, next time we may suggest our friends to upgrade to single cottage or upper hill cottage or downhill cottage as they have much better view.

If you are looking for a place to completely "switch off", this is the place to spend time at: a very relaxing environment. The staff are very friendly and helpful and went to great length to make sure that my stay was comfortable.

I have visited 4 times since 2008. I enjoyed my first three stays even though the location is quite remote so much travelling time is needed from Bangkok. However, I along with other guests I spoke to were disappointed with the service and especially the way the resort has been neglected! There has been almost no renovations or changes of any kind since my first visit in 2008 (and was pretty rustic then!). There were many ants because the wooden furniture is old. One guest complained of mice. The yoga shala was being used all week by a group so we ended up having our class in a shed with broken floors. It seems that the only change was the management who do not believe in inventing money!

The Spa Resort Koh Chang is my little bit of heaven on earth. I've been 5 times now, and if I could I would be there at least once a year. Everything about it is divine. I love the rustic style, the food is amazing when not fasting and the staff can't do enough to support.

The place is stunning, our room was beautiful, very clean and full of amenities we could expect from a city hotel. The attention of employers and management was excellent since the first enquiry. We will surely come back.

My friend and I organised a yoga retreat here in March. During the months building up to the retreat I had been in frequent contact with Poon, the general manager, and other members of staff, and they were all so very accommodating and helpful throughout the process. I was more than happy to discover upon finally arriving that it was the same friendly service in real life. The place is awe-inspiringly beautiful, and the rooms are of top quality. It has all the facilities needed for comfort, yet it manages to keep the natural charm that reflects the surrounding environment. To open my balcony doors every morning and do meditation while listening to the birds and smelling the orchids was a most magical experience. I enjoyed pretty much all of the facilities the hotel had to offer and was satisfied with all of them. The massage was amazing, and the masseuses very sweet and attentive. The staff in the restaurant were welcoming and friendly, and we could always get our requests through even though they didn't speak a lot of English. They are very open to your opinions and wishes, and whenever there's something regarding the rooms they're there to help. I highly recommend this place for the natural beauty of the place, for the comfort, the tranquility, the yoga facilities, the possibilities of going on excursions in the area, for the food and simply for a relaxing time in one of the most beautiful spots in Thailand.

My fianc and I stayed here for 4 nights during April 2015. The staff were great and they made our stay a memorable one. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the relaxing atmosphere of the resort. The only downsides for us were the mosquitos by the pool at night (which I think is normal giving the amount of still water in the area) and the location which is pretty far away from all the action on the island. Very relaxing still!

The property is beautiful, but the staff and atmosphere take away from the sense of relaxation. This is most the case with the restaurant, marked "50 Best in the World" where you have to serve yourself a menu and go to the staff seated behind a desk to place your order. The food is very good, however, but the atmosphere made us almost not want to eat. The rooms were serviced irregularly, and they never changed our glasses or tea pots. The massages were great. For us, none of the packages were a value in money so we decided against (you had to do many massages and eat a lot to make it valuable). We also thought that there could be more activities available for true cleanse and well being, as there isn't beach access and low tide during the day prevents kayaking in the mangrove. Probably wouldn't stay again, as it is very out of the way without all the elements needed to be great.

We are a huge fan of he Spa Resort in Koh Samui and so decided to go to Koh Chang for a change. First and foremost I would like to thank the staffs who were better than any 5 star resort. Really is a first class service. The food has always, the best around genuinely, and a beautiful resort. Our room (Upper Hill) is as lovely as you could hope for. However, I would give the following advice to future guests: If you want a view, ask for one. Do not assume Upper Hill gives you a view. Despite a lovely room, we had no view whatsoever. Just jungle. So do ask. The baths are so big you cannot really fill them. But hey, do you really go to Thailand for hot baths? But the key point is,this resort is way off the beaten path. Koh Chang itself is Koh Samui 20 years ago and in it is the quietest of the islands. But to get to any sort of beach or life is a good 40 minutes. If you want to really get away from things, this place is great. But as it is off the beaten path on a quiet island, it does lack of buzz and vibe that the Spa Koh Samui has. They were also prone to not stock things; I assume it is due to low demand. No bananas two days running was not good given it is a key ingredient. Any extras also tended to be expensive, certainly as expensive as any hotel on Koh Chang. My wife is a vegan, and I am a foodie who loves the ethos and spirit of the Spa Resorts and will continue to return. This place is heaven if you want to really get away from everything and I think is a five star resort with the flab removed. We had a lovely week. But don't think you will be popping out to markets or beaches. You must kayak the Mangroves out to the sea. It is heavenly and not advertised. We sadly discovered it on our last day and would love to have done it at dawn. I could have marked down a star for the small things noted, but I really think that the management and staff were so extraordinarily brilliant, I would feel guilty! Thank you one and all, and I hope you don't feel that I have been unfair on the location.

I have been to The Spa Resort Chiang Mai and was keep to check out this sister property. On our arrival Beer, the Guest Relations Manager and a refreshing towel and juice greeted us. He was very professional and attentive. The staffs were all great although limited English. The restaurant was fantastic with an extended menu. My husband raved about the Pad Thai and free use of kayaks. The waterways through the mangroves were quite smelly since fishing villages are on the banks of the river. Taking the free shuttle on Fridays to Koh Chang town was a good thing to do, leaving the peace and quiet of the resort behind. I highly recommend the snorkeling outing. At only 700 Thai baht or a full day including lunch cooked on this traditional wooden boat, a very authentic experience. Massage girls did a great job. Treat yourself to as many treatments during your stay. We had an enjoyable stay and would love to return one day!
