Bill Brundell

Born in NZ many moons ago (1955) Bill was Authorized to teach in 2000 by Sri K Pattabhi Jois Level 2 Bills intentions as a teacher are to keep the teaching as authentic as possible. For Bill the attraction to this method is the depth of it. One never stops learning, everyone can do it and can practice it for as long as one can breath. It's a very practical approach to self realisation which strips away the unnecessary by its flexibility to be adapted to the individual using the breath as the binding thread. He move to Stockholm Sweden in 2005 and has been teaching Mysore style there since.

I came into this retreat quite blank, with not that much knowledge of yoga. It was quite a surprise for me that i had to learn all the postures from my head, and get lectures of the philosophy. The classes have a no nonsense type of teaching to it, i love it. Show that you are willing to do your best and you will get the most out of it. After a week i was so amazed en touched, Kess and Teresa certainly opened my eyes and this environment has been amazing. It was a great week and i even extended a few days. If my flight would not have been booked already i would have booked even longer maybe. It was the best week of my time in Thailand, just lovely to work on yourself in the morning, and then during the day spend time with like minded people and have fun or just relax. The detox was very well guided and good to endure!

This retreat is truly special. Set in an amazing location, with delicious food, inspiring teachers and friendly staff, it is by far the best month I have spent on the island! My yoga practice has improved dramatically and I have learnt so much about myself and others though the incredible philosophy you have opened my eyes to. Thank you!

This was my second visit to the Yoga Retreat - I had a wonderful and transformative month last year and had to return this year for almost three months. This is a very special place run by kind, encouraging teachers who make sure you feel at home during your stay and have the chance to really make the most of your time practicing yoga or detoxing. It would be worth visiting just to practice on the open wooden yoga Shala which is truly magical. I can't recommend the Yoga Retreat enough.

I joined the 5 day Ashtanga and pranayama retreat. And it exceeded my expectations and helped me grow as a person. And even in this short space of time, I have made life long like-minded friends and grown to look deeper within. It is nestled in the jungle with a fantasy restaurant. Thank you Teresa and Kes. Such amazing people full of love and light.

I have joined the 5 days retreat in August as a solo traveller.

The place is great if you know what you are looking for:

- competent yoga teachers

- asthanga and hatha yoga classes suitable for every level

- pranayama classes

- exciting yoga lectures held by Kes, the Asthanga teacher

- Reiki treatment (Theresa's one is a mind blowing experience)

- steaming room open 3 days a week

- vegetarian and vegan restaurant (a bit pricey but yummy food is ensured! And outside the retreat there's a lady cooking excellent dinners for just 50 baht)

It's the perfect place also if you're not sure what you're looking for!

As a solo traveller who started only recently yoga, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have met incredible people and had a lovely time, despite not being able to move from the retreat due to a foot injury. At the end of the week you really feel like in a family!

Most of the girls extended their stay, and I am planning to be back for a 1 month intensive retreat.
