The accommodation will be at Wild View Retreat which was lovingly restored from the ruins of an abandoned mountain village house, in the foothills of the Algarve, in Portugal. The venue is completely isolated and submerged in nature, accommodating up to 22 guests in twin, double, or triple en-suite rooms, with a first class infinity pool and yoga studio facilities that will simply take your breath away.

Originally built by a Portuguese army general in 1898, the manor house and surrounding ruins have undergone a one year and a half restoration and redevelopment project, transforming the iconic setting into a bespoke wellness retreat.

Wild View Retreat is environmentally conscious, its sustainability being powered by a 15 kilowatts 32-panel solar system. There is also a private water source filtered from a natural underground aquifer.


You will enjoy two yoga and mindfulness classes every day. Led by Charlotte Wiseman, the classes will be alignment based, ideal for all levels of experience. Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned yogi, Charlotte will lead you through a heart felt practice to support and challenge you.

Fueled by nutritious vegetarian and vegan meals, juices and snacks, and supported by nutritional therapists and well-being experts, you will have the chance to enjoy spectacular walks, as well as talks to bring you practical tools to reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance physical health, and bring more equilibrium into your everyday life. And, of course, there is plenty of time for rest and relaxation by the pool.

This three-dimensional approach will ensure that you walk away with the energy, motivation, and knowledge to make powerful, positive improvements to your lifestyle for long term benefits.

There will also be inspiring film screenings on some evenings. You are strongly encouraged to leave your digital media at home, but if you can’t do without, these will be limited to non-communal spaces.

The retreat will take place at Wild View Retreat, in Corgas Bravas, São Brás de Alportel, Serra da Calderão, Portugal. Wild View Retreat is defined by its spectacular uninterrupted 360° view of the Serra do Caldeirão Mountains, in the Zona De Intervenção Florestal area, protected for its natural beauty and famous Portuguese cortiça (cork) trees. There are no cars, no roads, no buildings, no neighbors. Nothing but wilderness and nature. Nothing to hear, but the birds and the wind. Nothing to do, but restore and relax the body, mind, and soul.

Modern Food Stories will be providing healthy, plant based and vegan meals to nourish and balance your body. They believe radiant health starts with a healthy gut, so they like to use lots of nutritious, nourishing real food ingredients, all gluten free and sugar free, with a focus on keeping things simple, but using vegetables in a fun, creative way, so you never feel bored or deprived.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 40% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 42 days before arrival.
