Yogic kriyas cleanse the body and mind and enhance the resistance of the individual towards infections. Asanas balance every system in the body and make it stronger to fight against any infection while Pranayama enhances the pranic energy in the Nadis invariably assisting the individual to perform to the optimum level both physically and mentally. Meditation reduces stress levels, improves sleep patterns contributing to mental and emotional health.

At YO1, they have a team of certified Yoga instructors who will guide you in a safe practice to help deepen your understanding of Yoga physically, mentally, and spiritually. They offer group classes as well as private sessions in various Yoga techniques such as (but not limited to) Hatha yoga, Meditation, Aqua Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Therapeutic and alignment-based yoga, Pranayama, Kriyas, and Yoga Nidra. In scheduled group classes, they offer guests Hatha Yoga.

  • Hatha Yoga - 45-60 Minutes

Hatha is a very broad term that encompasses all the physical practices of yoga such as Asanas (physical postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), and Meditation. In the word Hatha, ha means “sun,” and tha means “moon.” Therefore, “Hatha yoga” is the practice that enables a practitioner to balance his or her solar and lunar energies.

They understand at YO1 that everybody is unique, and people will be of various experience levels. They accommodate through offering private sessions, adjustments in class, and through the use of modifications and props to help support you as best as possible.

Benefits: Hatha Yoga regulates the flow of prana and brings about physical and mental wellness. The asanas strengthen and detoxifies the body and improve muscle and joint flexibility. The showcase kitchen serves as an educational tool to promote positive lifestyle changes after completing a program at YO1. Cooking demonstrations will take place so that you can learn to prepare the types of meals you are eating at YO1 and integrate them into your daily life long after you leave.


Situated just off the main lobby, the café provides an inviting setting for enjoying a cup of tea or light, nutritious paninis, salads, and parfaits.

Juice bar

The juice bar is located in the wellness atrium and serves freshly prepared, organic, cold-pressed juices made from fruits and vegetables.

Does YO1 provide dining services on site?

They offer a full dining menu during your stay at YO1. Guests can enjoy fresh, cold-pressed juices from the juice bar and tea/ coffee/ light snacks from the tea cafe. Lunch is provided from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner is provided from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Does YO1 serve breakfast?

The wellness guests follow juice therapy during breakfast hours. Juices have micro-nutrients such as calcium, vitamins, and minerals which detox and cleanse the body. It is especially good when taken in the morning. All other guests can enjoy the breakfast spread in the dining room from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Does YO1 only serve juice?

Juices help cleanse and nourish the body due to the vitamin and mineral content present in various fruits and vegetables. Juices play a particularly significant role in natural cleansing and therapeutic fasting. Under therapeutic fasting, a guest is typically given a maximum of 4-5 glasses of fresh fruit and/or vegetable juices per day at regular intervals of time. Guests on a normal diet are recommended to drink 4 glasses of juices, in addition to their meals, to keep hydrated.

The culinary program is based on a wholesome, balanced, and portioned diet. All of the food served at YO1 is locally sourced, organic, and sustainable. Ayurvedic Therapies

  • Abhyangam (Relaxing Body Massage Therapy) - 60 Minutes | 155 USD

Fall into a state of deep relaxation with this full-body massage. This therapy involves 7 different sitting and lying down postures, while warm oil is applied to the body. Guests will experience strengthened muscles, improved circulation, and blood flow, as well as reduced headache and stiffness throughout the body.

Benefits: This therapy tones the muscles and the whole physiology, calms the nerves besides lubricating the joints, and increasing mental alertness. This therapy also boosts circulation, especially to nerve endings. It removes impurities from the body. It also detoxifies the body and makes the skin soft and smooth. It leads to better endurance. This therapy can improve sleep, manages varicose veins, improves vision, while also reducing unwanted body heat and relieving cracked and dry feet.

  • Shiro Abhyangam (Ayurvedic Head Massage) - 30 Minutes

Moreover, it has a cooling effect on the eyes and prevents headaches. You will also be able to fight dandruff, pre-mature greying of hair, and prevent hair loss.

  • Pada Abhyangam (Ayurvedic Foot Massage) - 30 Minutes

Enjoy this restorative foot massage to ease away fatigue and boost performance. This special oil massage therapy helps restore and maintain the proper functioning of all parts of the body, including internal organs. Using a method called zone therapy, specific points on the guest’s feet, legs, and knees (reflex points) are massaged and compressed to release pain and tiredness from the body.

Benefits: This is a perfect foot massage to get rid of rough and dry skin on your feet. It also offers relief from numbness and tingling sensation in the foot and leg. This massage will make your feet strong and attractive. It stimulates the vital points and ensures the proper functioning of the organs.

  • Podikizhi (Herbal Powder Poultice Therapy) - 60 Minutes | 200 USD

This therapy uses herbal powder and oil, in which powders are made into boluses using cloth (potli). The boluses are slightly heated in the oil before they are placed on the body and massaged in a circular motion, either on the full body or locally on certain body parts.

Benefits: It improves circulation and helps you deal with body aches. It reduces swelling in the joints and offers relief from muscular spasm and stiffness. Rehydrate dull skin and re-energize tired muscles with this invigorating therapy. In this therapy, a mixture of special red rice boiled in milk and herbs is placed inside pouches made from cotton cloth (potli). These pouches are slightly heated before they’re placed all over the guest’s body.

Cleanse your throat cavity with this therapy. Kavalagraha or Kavala is a procedure described in Dincharya i.e. the daily routine which is a procedure of filling half of the oral cavity in the morning with oil or medicated water daily, and make it move briskly inside and spitting out quickly.

Panchakarma program

Panchakarma, a Sanskrit word meaning “five actions,” is a procedure used to clean out toxic materials that have accumulated during the body’s metabolic process.   • Surya Namaskar - 1 minute for 1 round

Sun Salutations, or Surya Namaskar, are traditionally performed in the morning to greet the new day. This sequence of postures or Asanas are connected by jumping or stretching movements and can be a complete practice in itself or can prepare you for a longer Yogasana routine. Each time you flow through this sequence of postures, one should synchronize the breath with the movements of the body.

Benefits: This yoga practice gives a proper workout to your entire body. It massages the internal organs, helps in elimination of impurities from the body, increases perspiration to induce detoxification and improves skin health. It also increases vitality, enhances the functioning of the lymphatic system and protects your body against infections.Sun Salutations provide a good cardiovascular workout, stretch every part of the body, and when used with breath, coordinate the body with the mind. This sequence of practice takes the spine through almost every possible range of motion. Surya Namaskar can be used as a warm-up routine.


Pranayama or Yogic breathing is defined as the “control of life force – Prana,” and is aimed at increasing vital energy in the body and mind. In our group classes, as well as individual private classes, classical breathing techniques are taught that help regulate the entire body and mind. Yogic breathing techniques reduce anxiety and depression and positively impact mood. The various Pranayamas that are taught at YO1 are:

  • Naadi Shodhanam (Alternate Nostril Breathing Exercises) - 15-20 Minutes

In this breathing technique, guests inhale slow and deep breaths through one nostril and exhale from the other nostril. This pattern is repeated 5-10 times and inhalation and exhalation alters between nostrils.

Benefits: This alternative breathing pattern brings balance to the left nostril (Chandra naadi) and the right nostril (Surya naadi).This breathing technique help in the removal of congestion and blockage to bring about a state where there is free flow of Prana. It instills a sense of calmness and improves circulation. Regular practice will also enhance your immunity and help your body fight off pathogens.

  • Surya Bhedana (Right Nostril Breathing) - 15-20 Minutes

The practice of Surya Bhedana Pranayama is done by inhaling completely through the right nostril, holding the breath and then exhaling through the left nostril.

Benefits: A breathing technique that stimulates the brain and increases body heat, it awakens energy and increases vitality. Regular practice will improve clarity. You can also lose weight and rid your body of bacteria and pathogens with this technique. This right nostril breathing activates Pingala nadi, which represents masculine sun energy. It increases the digestive fire.

  • Ujjayee(Psychic Breathing Exercises) - 15-20 Minutes

For this technique, the guest sits in a comfortable meditative posture with their eyes closed. The guest then inhales through the nose by congesting the throat, creating a hoarse gushing sound. This is repeated in the exhalation process too and should be carried out for 5 to 10 rounds.

  • Sheetali (Cooling Breath Exercise) - 10-15 Minutes

Sheetali Pranayama is practiced by sticking your tongue out and rolling the lateral edges upward so that the tongue forms a tube. Guests will then inhale through the curled tongue. It is also known as Cooling Breath Exercise.

Benefits: You can perform this pranayama to get rid of indigestion, fever and excessive thirst. It also helps fight diseases of the spleen and cools the body and mind down. This practice balances Pitta and clears excess heat.

  • Sheetkari (Hissing Breath Exercise) - 10-15 Minutes

Sheetkari Pranayama is practiced by folding the tongue inwards and placing it in between the teeth. Guests will then inhale through the gap between the folded tongue and exhale through the nose. This is recommended for yogis who have difficulty practicing Sheetali Pranayama.

  • Bhramari (Humming Bee Breathing Exercises) - 20-25 Minutes

For this breathing exercise, the guest is seated in a comfortable position to practice inhalation and exhalation through a humming sound. It is also known as ‘Humming Bee Pranayama’.

  • Bhastrika (Bellows Breathing Exercises) - 15-20 Minutes

It is done by exhaling and contracting the abdominal muscles quickly and forcefully, followed by a quick diaphragmatic inhalation and letting the abdominal muscles relax completely.

Benefits: A highly energizing practice, this stimulates the digestive fire, balances the three doshas and rejuvenates your lungs. It helps in expelling germs and mucus from the body and helps in the treatment of asthma, tuberculosis, pleurisy and bronchitis. It also corrects your breathing pattern and boosts circulation and metabolic rate besides calming your mind. The practice of bhastrika energizes every atom of the body and purifies it. It helps increase Prana, clarify the mind and strengthen immunity.

Types of meditations we offer here are Mantra meditation, Breath awareness, Vipassana, and guided/ visual meditations.

Yoga Nidra or Psychic Sleep is a guided relaxation where one achieves a state between wakefulness and sleep. The awareness is internalized in Yoga Nidra which is sleep with full awareness. In the practice of Yoga Nidra, the body sleeps but the mind remains awake listening to the instructions. The instructor verbally guides one through a journey of body, mind, spirit and breath exploration as well as using images and verbal cues to help one feel deeply relaxed, moving in and out of this hypnogogic state.

These classes are great for Seniors and for those who have experienced physical injuries and trauma. Aqua Yoga is done in the water. Therapeutic yoga is mainly done in the water but can be done on the mat as individual need basis. A Yoga instructor will teach you various stretches and exercises that may be helpful for your body if you are in need of a more therapeutic nurturing practice.
